Imagine this for a moment. It’s late summertime, the time of year you’re in a rush to shop for school clothes because it starts in two weeks. You walk into your favorite store, skim through the racks of clothing, grabbing a ton of tops, skirts, jeans, shorts, etc. You lug your pile of clothes over to the changing rooms and a sale’s associate escorts you to your room. You look at the mirror for a moment, hesitating, remembering how painful its been for you before to face yourself in that mirror and see all your flaws. But not this time. This time, you’ve worked your ass off. This time, you’ve been eating clean for months and exercising many times a week. You’ve made your life about the betterment of your health and improvement in fitness. You slowly take your clothes off, eyes closed….waiting… you open your eyes and look in the mirror only to be greeted by toned arms, abs, and fit muscular thighs. You can’t believe your eyes. Even in the most harsh lighting of that changing room, you look flawless. The hard work you’ve put in is now reflected in your body. A broad smile overtakes your face and you decide to try on clothes. Every single top fits, amazing. You’ve grabbed those jeans and skirts in your ideal size, nervously, you pull them up past your calves.. great… up your thighs… fantastic… and you’ve buttoned them! and NO muffin top at all…. you think ‘Hooray OMG I can’t believe this!’ You don’t need to put even one item of clothing back, you don’t need to trade for the next size up, because THIS time every single thing fits! This is the best day ever. Shopping is actually beyond enjoyable now. After trying on, and fitting in, all of your brand new clothes, you feel amazing… there is no feeling like that of hard work and dedication paying off. Dressing rooms are no longer a place of pain and confronting your flaws. Now, they are fun and a place where you confirm the fact that: yes, you’ve won the war. Finally, after so many months, you have the body you’ve only wished for… So tell me again, do you really want to quit right now?
